Eritrea

Arabic, Tigrigna and English are the official languages of Eritrea. The nation was occupied by the British in 1941. It is a multi-ethnic country. Later, part of Eritrea was occupied by Ethiopia. Eritrea declared its independence in 1993.

The Gambia

English is the official language of the Gambia. This West African nation was first colonized by Portuguese and then by the British. The Gambia gained independence from the UK on February 18 1965. Many ethnic groups live in the Gambia.

Ghana

Officially called the Republic of Ghana, this sovereign multinational state is located in Western Africa. Ghana’s official language is English. Teaching is done in English in many schools of Ghana. English is spoken by around 67 percent of the population of Ghana.
