7) Shuga (Kenya)

From the movie industry in Kenya, comes Shuga. Produced in the Kenyan Capital, Nairobi, this television soap opera has garnered viewership extending from the African continent to America. BET channel runs Shuga series almost every day. The show was first aired in November 2009 on MTV Base as a part of an initiative coined “MTV Staying Alive Ignite!” The first two seasons was commissioned by MTV Networks Africa.

    Beneath The Lies, a Ugandan drama was nominated for Best TV Series Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) in. It is the biggest TV Series in Uganda even it is still on Season 1.
